Elaine B. - Objective-C

While studying at Queen’s University, I immersed myself in a bevy of constructive extracurriculars. I co-founded TedXQueensU, which has become the school’s largest conference.

I worked with Bump Technologies, where I made sense of a collection of massive data gathered from over 60 million bump users. I spent four months at Recurser -- a writers retreat for programmers -- and continued the development of numerous projects.

In 2013, I co-founded a startup, where I continue to serve as the iOS lead. We are currently designing a ridesharing app which distills data from Uber, Lyft, and Sidecar, and allows the user to choose their preferred route based on their needs and the app’s findings.

My work has brought me many accolades, including: Joan Sloan Award of Excellence, James C. Buck Scholarship, Aristeia Award for Academic Excellence, and Random Hacks of Kindness: First Prize.
