Yollanda G. - Rails

Yollanda G. - Rails

I hold both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in computer science from University of California, San Diego. After graduating from my master’s program, I spent almost four years as an independent contractor before landing with a key geospacial web systems developer for the U.S. Navy. Here I carried many responsibilities, including customer support, software design, and requirements gathering. Next, I spent nearly five years with Opportunity International, where I was the technical lead for every software-based effort, and developed what became the organization’s fastest-growing revenue segment.

For over nine years I have engaged in my own experiments, continuously pushing the boundaries of technological products. Some of the projects I have personally created have been featured in Techcrunch, ReadWriteWeb, Mashable, Lifehacker, CNET, Newsweek, PC World, and Ars Technica.

I specialize in making exceptional web and mobile products. I’m a strong leader, and a skilled writer and public speaker.
